AUSTIN, TEXAS — August 10, 2001 — Version 4.4 of Web Studio, Indusoft's HMI and SCADA system, now supports Data Exchange Dial-Up capability, eliminating the need for systems to be connected to the Internet continously, thereby minimizing the chance that hackers can compromise the system. With Dial-Up, a Web Studio server can be configured to call up an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to send e-mails and reports, or to call a remote station via modem periodically to obtain needed data.
