Notes: This symbol uses only native objects. Currently this symbol only supports users that are part of a single group. If a user belongs to multiple groups and you would like to use this symbol, please let us know and we can help you modify it to your needs.

Properties (Button only):

(Bool) Tag or constant to disable the button and gray out the label. Set to 0 if you want to use the “SecurityHi” property to control visibility

(String) Tag or string in quotes to be shown on the button.

(String) Tag or string in quotes of the screen to go to when the button is pressed

(Integer) Tag or constant. The security GroupHiLevel must be greater or equal to this value for the button to be visible. Set to 255 if you want it to always be visible and use the “Disable” property to control functionality

Ideas for improvement:

  • Add different colors

  • Create in different sizes

How to use:

Think of the SecurityHi as a threshold. If the logged in user is in a group that has a GroupHiLevel that is higher than the SecurityHi, then the button will show.

If the button is visible then the user can Enable/Disable the object using a tag (or optionally a constant).

Scenario 1

The user logged in has a GroupHiLevel of 100, but the SecurityHi is set to 200, the button should not be visible.

The “Disable” field is irrelevant because the object is not there.

Scenario 2

The user logged in has a GroupHiLevel of 200 (or higher), and the SecurityHi is set to 200, the button should be visible

The Tag or constant in the “Disable” field will determine if the object is grayed out or not.

In order to make the button functional, they should be at or above the right security level and the button should not be disabled.
