Occasionally, the installation step of the InduSoft Web Studio setup program will fail to install the PDF Printing infrastructure. As you may know, there are features in InduSoft Web Studio to create PDF documents. This is accomplished through the use of some application programming libraries and a virtual printer called Studio PDF2. In some cases, you will see the Studio PDF2 printer in your Printers folder, but PDF document creation still does not work. The root of the issue stems from some timing issues between the InduSoft Web Studio setup program and the Windows Print Spooler.
Please follow the procedure below to fix a broken PDF Printing installation:
If you still have problems creating PDF documents after following the above procedure, then please contact InduSoft Support. Please note that the embedded runtimes for Windows CE and Windows Embedded do not support the creation of PDF documents. Also, the Studio PDF2 printer is for the exclusive use of the InduSoft Web Studio software only. Any changes to the Studio PDF2 printer may break PDF document creation.
