Remote Support is a new tool available with InduSoft Web Studio that allows InduSoft support engineers to access customer machines.
If a customer contacts InduSoft support through chat or phone, then it is often desirable and more efficient for the support engineer to look at what the customer is doing or the problem that they are having. In this case, the customer can open Help >> Support from the development IDE and click the button called Remote Support. The Remote Support tool will open on the customer computer, connect to a broker in the cloud using SSL, and create a support session with a unique session ID. The support engineer can then connect to the customer computer using their session ID. When the support session is done, or at any time, the customer can close the Remote Support tool to close the session.
It is important to note that all sessions are initiated by the customer. Indusoft has no access to customer computers without the customer first initiating a session.
