In April, InduSoft featured an educational partner, the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira in Colombia. This program has been developing a wide diversity of projects using the educational version of InduSoft Web Studio SCADA software. Previous projects have included a lottery system, a coffee drying process, and a plastic injection machine application. Julián Eduardo Granados Piraván, the teacher leading the SCADA project with InduSoft Web Studio, also recently sent us images of some new projects the students are developing.
A home automation project features a connected home with sensors in the bedrooms, kitchen, garage, garden, and doors. The data from these areas of the home can be viewed on the desktop where InduSoft Web Studio is installed, or online
Another application developed within the program is a simulation for a stone crusher that tracks the data from the ventilator, the conveyor belt, the stone grinder, and the lubrication. From the application it is possible to initiate the process, schedule a shutdown, stop, or reset the process.
