Tips and Tricks: InduSoft Web Studio Driver Worksheet Overview

In InduSoft Web Studio SCADA software, there are two types of driver worksheets that users may utilize to configure communications: the standard driver worksheet and the main driver worksheet. Either of these worksheets may be used to scale tag values right in the worksheet. For example a 4-20mA signal that is read as a value from 0-4095 can be converted to a range that applies to engineering units such as temperature or pressure. Each type of driver worksheet has its own unique advantages. This is a compilation of information we have found to be useful to customers over the years, The general purpose of the driver worksheet is to associate Indusoft project tags with registers or memory locations in a remote device, such as a PLC or other type of controller, and provide a means of triggering Read or Write requests to implement the data exchange between the Indusoft Web Studio project and the device. Updated InduSoft Driver ABCIP for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and MicroLogix Devices

InduSoft has recently updated the InduSoft Web Studio driver for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and MicroLogix Devices. The new version is version 11.5. In the newer version, the driver can now write on BOOL tags on PLCs with firmware versions earlier than 20 in Physical Mode. Continue reading

Driver Update: MITSU driver for the Mitsubishi L/QnA/ Q Series, FX-232AW and MELSEC –A Series

The InduSoft Web Studio MITSU driver for the Mitsubishi L/QnA/ Q Series, FX-232AW and MELSEC –A series has been updated on the InduSoft Drivers page. The newest version is MITSU v10.7. The updated driver increases the Range of M address that the driver can communicate with from 1023 to 7999. Continue reading

Update to InduSoft Web Studio ABCIP Driver for ControlLogix and MicroLogix PLCs

The ABCIP driver for ControlLogix and MicroLogix PLCs has been updated on the InduSoft Drivers page. The newest version is ABCIP v11.4. The updated driver offers support to communicating with Logix 5000 CPUs having firmware version 21 or higher in Physical mode. Continue reading
